The Point of no Return (A poem by Noha Haggag)

This is the point of no return,
Where there is nothing left to discern.

This is the point of no coming back,
Where all the white has turned to black.

And now we’ve reached the moment we hate,
We’ve reached the point where we hesitate

And every decision is wrong in it
Because our ambition had no limit

I guess we have to choose to die
For what we’ve lost is you and I

As the last glimpse of hope disappears
It signals the onset of panic and fears

I can’t recall when the tragedy began
But I know we didn’t do what we can

And now, we reach the point of forfeiture
Where we lose our faith and cross our nature

Yes, my dear, it is the point of no return

It was our choice and we chose
Don’t try to think of anything that was

It is the history we can no more discern
On the point of no return…

P.S. I have written this poem many years back in college. Most probably it was written between 1998 and 2002. I have revised it and made a few adjustments to the original. And VOILA. I hope you enjoy reading it.
